János Árpád Potápi: Every Hungarian matters.


All Hungarians matter, whether they live in Hungary, the Carpathian Basin or anywhere in the

diaspora, the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for national policy

stated to MTI on Saturday.

He recalled that in the company of Zsolt Csenger-Zalán, the ambassador of Hungary to

Australia, he met the representatives of the local Hungarians on the Gold Coast in Australia.

The event is the XVII. It took place within the framework of the Australian Hungarian

Cultural Meeting / Convention.

The meeting is held every three years in Australia, but the latest event planned for 2020

was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic. The current meeting was organized by the

Hungarian Association of Australia and the Cultural Association of the Hungarians of

Queensland, informed the state secretary. He added that in addition to the Gold Coast,

he also visited Sydney.

Potápi Árpád János: minden magyar számít

Minden magyar számít, éljen akár Magyarországon, a Kárpát-medencében vagy pedig a diaszpórában bárhol – jelentette ki a Miniszterelnökség nemzetpolitikáért felelős államtitkára szombaton az MTI-nek nyilatkozva.

Felidézte, hogy Csenger-Zalán Zsolt, Magyarország ausztráliai nagykövete társaságában az ausztráliai Gold Coaston találkozott a helyi magyarok képviselőivel. Az esemény a XVII. Ausztráliai Magyar Kulturális Találkozó keretében zajlott.

A találkozót háromévente rendezik meg Ausztráliában, de a koronavírus-járvány miatt a legutóbbi, 2020-ra tervezett rendezvény elmaradt. A mostani összejövetelt az Ausztráliai Magyar Szövetség és a Queenslandi Magyarok Kulturális Szövetsége szervezte meg – tájékoztatott az államtitkár. Hozzátette, hogy Gold Coast mellett Sydney-ben is látogatást tett.
